It is important to break down walls to build bridges. Travel can break down barriers and defeat bias. Africa, as a continent, is a vast and wonderful place. Traveling to the continent can be overwhelming. There are over 52 countries and each region has something different to offer the traveler. Dawo Trails focuses on West Africa. Specifically, we concentrate on culture and conservation in West Africa. The importance of traveling with Dawo Trails is to shine a positive light and have a unique cultural experience. I want to build a bridge with personalized travel packages for first time traveler as well as the seasoned. This unique cultural opportunity is not a "human show" or a "pity party." I want to show the best the continent has to offer. Niger is a little known land locked country that has the last Giraffe in all of West Africa. It also has the most vast array of geography from near jungle and savanna in the south, to the dunes of the Sahara in the north. So, now you know that my love of people, travel and conservation started my journey in Niger. Don't let fear keep you, let Dawo Guide you!

Dawo means to restore or to return something. My hope is use travel to return the diaspora to the continent and to support the conservation efforts in the region.
